I have now watched a certain scene from the last Who far too many times. Good grief.

But I also watched So You Think You Can Dance (god, that really is the worst title ever). Bottom three has to be Matt/Kourtni, Courtney/Gev and Thayne/Comfort, no? The other four couples are just too awesome. Mark and Chelsie are fighting really hard with Joshua and Katee to be my favorite team. I was disappointed not to have a Tabitha/Napoleon routine tonight. I'm kind of over the over-the-top Mia Michaels ass-kissing. She's a good choreographer, she's not God. And the bed thing was cool but honestly I felt it was a bit much. I loved Twitchington's pasa doble but then I know nothing about ballroom dancing so wouldn't know the difference anyway. Twitch and Will need to be shirtless every week. And I was laughing my ass off that Paul Anka covered Bon Jovi's "It's My Life." Genius. I may need to download that track.


Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell are going to play Sherlock Holmes and Watson in a new movie. I can't decide if that's brilliant or horrifying. Perhaps both.

Definitely Matt/Kourtni and Thayne/Comfort, and I think the third couple has to be either Courtney/Gev or Jessica/Will. I kind of hope it's Jessica/Will, just because I know the judges will never, ever send Will home and I think that Courtney is a stronger female dancer than Jessica. Of course, if they sent home, say, Jessica and Matt and leave Will to be repaired with Kourtni, that might be kind of weird. This is why I want to keep Courtney and Gev out of the bottom three entirely; if the judges decide to save either Matt or Kourtni due to good solo performances, they'll end up keeping both of them because they're so tall and they'll want to keep them together, and then they'll axe the little short people together. Which is dumb, because we're almost to the top ten anyway. We just need to make it to the top ten so that I can relax! :w

Chelsie/Mark and Katee/Joshua are dancing really, really well, but they've also been amazingly lucky with the choreography they've drawn. Assuming they're still drawing choreography this year and not being assigned it; I had some friends visiting this weekend who pointed out that this year, we haven't seen the little segments where we see them draw dances out of a hat, like we have in previous seasons, which I thought was interesting.

Twitch and Will need to be shirtless every week.

Now I am going to go and sulk because Lacey helped choreograph a dance this week and they only showed her for two seconds. :(

For some reason that I can't quite figure out, I love Thayne. Everyone who posts about the show is all UGH THAYNE GO AWAY, but I really kind of love him. Probably because someone called him Lee Adama-lite and it stuck with me. I don't know how I feel about him and Comfort as a pairing, but they weren't the complete train wreck I was expecting.

I think Joshua/Katee are awesome, but Mark/Chelsie are absolutely my favorites. And holy crap, Will and Twitch shirtless made my night.

That article about Obama strikes me as worrying because it amused the fuck out of me, but it's so clearly an internet meme that I don't know if OLD FUCKERS will get it.

Meanwhile, I get a lot of schaudenfreud out of Christopher Hitchens being waterboarded, but the thing about him is that he's struck me before as at least being open minded about the consequences of his actions. (Re: that whole thing where the kid who worshiped him got dead in Iraq and he felt intensely guilty about the matter.)

Rumor has it Ewan was offered a part in one of the HP movies and turned it down, either because of scheduling, or because he didn't want to do another "franchise" film (which was also the rumor around why he didn't do Bond).

I have no idea what part he was supposed to play, because I can't keep any of the adult characters straight. Or most of the kids, for that matter. Heh.

PS. I really hope that there is a crapping in the bed scene in the new HP movie. Or maybe a baby crawling on the ceiling scene. Yeah.

Or switch out Courtney/Gev for Jessica/Will. The judges will do one of two things: get rid of both the tall herons (and after last night, I can agree with that choice now), or get rid of Jessica and Thayne. But they've never had two black competitors dancing together, and I don't think they will do it now. So I think they'll wait until Courtney/Gev and Jessica/Will make it to the bottom 3, and then the new pair will be Courtney/Will. Who I think could be astonishing together.

Me, last night after Josh and Katee's Mia Michaels routine: "She just lets us all into her psyche, doesn't she?"
Hubby: "She's a troubled woman. Talented, but very troubled."

His declaration was repeated after the bed and the flower petals and all the flopping around of Twitchington. Hee! And true!

And it was full of the embarrassingly literal interpretations of the lyrics that always make me wince in fanvids. Roses! See how the song says roses? I think the bed dance was cool, and that Twitchington pulled it off quite well, but I also think it would have made a great "safety" dance for a lot of dancers. It took a lot of emotion, but perhaps not a lot of actual dancing technique? I could be wrong.

Mia Michaels always has far too many props. Like you said, she's good, but I am definately preferring Tabitha & Napoleon already this season, like you said. I really can't stand Thayne (I haven't seen the results show yet, I hope he goes! Does he? Ahh.) and I'm pretty apathetic about Matt and Kourtni. I can't decide whether I like Gev just because he dances with Courtney (my current fav) or whether I don't actually like him. I loved their hip-hop dance this week! Chelsie and Mark are probably my favourite couple right now though, their dance from last week blew me away.

I am having such a problem with the costumes this season. Those pink trousers Katee was wearing? Jeebus. (Word on Twitch and Will shirtless though. Awesome.) I need the results show now!
