I realized tonight as I watched the Survivor finale that I need to get my dad to go on Survivor. He would be the perfect contestant. Go with me on this. There's this guy Bob this season, he's 57, and he's won a whole bunch of challenges in a row, mainly because he's a physics teacher, and let's face it, a lot of those challenges essentially boil down to physics. My dad is (was) a mechanical engineer who's also really good at all that crap. He would win all those kinds of challenges. He's not buff but he's thin and in pretty good shape for his age (63). He's a very quiet, fly under the radar kind of guy, would probably be generally liked. He's a hard worker and would totally be the indispensable worker guy around camp, building crazy gadgets and catching fish and continually improving the shelter. He's a crazy good cutthroat strategist beneath his affable demeanor. Seriously, I don't see how the guy can lose. Must work on him over Christmas. *g*

Anyway. Wow! I wasn't surprised that Bob won, but I was really surprised that Sugar didn't get ANY votes and Susie got THREE. WTF. Personally I think on a strategic level Sugar should have won, but then again, forcing the tie was not necessarily the smartest thing, either. Not that it really matters b/c if it had been Matty in the final three he would have won too. I was really shocked that Matty voted for Susie, I guess he did it b/c she didn't vote for him in the final vote. What a weird outcome. Also, least likable contestants ever? Possibly. Bad casting this season. Too many icky folks. Corinne is odious. Claiming it's sarcasm and a dry sense of humor is bullshit -- I have both of those things too but I have a heart, too. Ugh. And she so obviously wanted to be "the bitch" and use it for famewhoring. What a loser. Oh well, I hope next season is better. Cool location.

Day Eight:
I had a nice brunch with my friend A. this morning and had super yummy vanilla and orange infused french toast. SO GOOD. We then walked around a bit and came back to my place to chill. Just an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

Plus I cleaned the apartment (mostly) yesterday in anticipation of her arrival, so it's nice sitting around in a clean apartment. Yay.

I scratched my face with my own jagged nail today. I look like a fucking pirate.

I have already saved one gif of the Bush incident. I anticipate saving more.

We've really been missing out. We could have been doing this since 2000, pelting Bush with our shoes to show our dissatisfaction.

It would make paying a zillion dollars in j-school worth it if I could chuck a shoe at Bush. In fact, that's how we should fix the economy: he could tour with some carnies in a dunking booth, ten dollars a shot. I would SO pony up.

Man, I wanted to slap Corrine tonight. She didn't have to be such a bitch. I get that people have different ways of making use of their "fame" from reality shows, but really? That's a bit much. She reminded me of Susan from S1 calling Richard a snake, or whatever it was she said. Those two should get together for drinks. I'm sure they'd have a lot in common.

Mr. Po3 was happy that Bob won. "Score one for the old guys!" I lol'd. I wasn't surprised Bob won either. After he won all those immunity challenges, I could easily see him winning the game. Everyone liked him. And is it weird that I liked Matty more when he was all scruffy and dirty? He looks like he's 12 when he's clean-shaven. Heh.
