It's funny, because Annie Wersching is from General Hospital -- she left GH to do 24, more power to her -- and I was not really a fan of hers on that, but I think she kicks ass in this. Just goes to show what you can do with actual material, I guess. Love the rapport with her and Jack. I hope she's not with that douchey FBI guy, or with Janeane Garofolo, who, by the way, I did not buy in this AT ALL. Yikes. She just doesn't fit IMO. And, of course, she's no Chloe!
Liking Cherry Jones (of course, Cherry Jones is made of awesome, so what's not to like) and am intrigued by her nutty husband, the First Gentleman, hee. (Can I get an eyeroll over how the chairs in the Oval Office have to be all floral because there's a GIRL in there? Oy.) Missing Peter MacNicol, though.
Jack looks hot in a trench, rowr. His man-love for Tony is palapable through my television screen, and I loved that shot when they saw each other on the boat, just like that shot in North & South where George and Orry see each other on opposite sides of the battlefield, ha ha ha ha. Can't wait to see them go mano a mano in the next ep, which I may or may not watch live tomorrow night.
Overall, a solid start, and I'm happy it's back. Yay Jack!
This guy ran afoul of eHarmony by mentioning in his profile that he was tired of seeing his friends "get laid off." eHarmony informed him he had violated the terms of service with his language. The offending part? GET LAID. LOLOLOLOL.
Speaking of sites I don't like, Gawker is being snotty about LJ again. *eyeroll* As I said to my friend who sent me the link, apparently spending all your free time on the internet is OKAY if it's on Gawker. You're only a loser if you do it somehwere else. Okay.

And hmmmm, I did not watch, but I just got an email from the ex-boy about Tool Academy, stating, "It is the most amazing show. The End." Dammit, now I'm going to have to watch. *shakes fist*
I found out at the end of last week that a package I was expecting from Karmaloop was "delivered" by UPS on December 30th. Yeah, I never received it. Looks like it was stolen, either from in front of my apartment door or from in front of my apartment building door, if the UPS guy was REALLY that stupid. Either way I'm pissed as hell and looking for satisfaction and not getting it from anyone yet. We'll see. Grrrrr. I hate people.
I can't take the Golden Globes seriously anymore so no commentary on that, except to say that from the pictures I've seen, Kate Winslet looked amazing. But then, when doesn't she?
It's going to be ass cold this week, and snowy. Not looking forward to it. Blech.
You know what the best part is about that BSG music DVD extra? I have touched those suspenders James Callis is wearing. Yes, that is much a happier way to end this post.

Date: 2009-01-12 06:09 am (UTC)I'm sure the Russians don't mind, since LJ actually makes money.

Date: 2009-01-12 11:35 am (UTC)Helpful thing I have learned from fighting with UPS for eons: It is against UPS policy to leave packages unattended/unsigned-for in apartment buildings. They can leave packages in front of single-family homes, but not apartments.
You have my sympathies, because UPS will be a GIANT PAIN IN THE ASS. Go through the vendor, not UPS, to get it replaced. UPS won't do shit for you without the vendor making it happen.

Date: 2009-01-12 03:27 pm (UTC)That is VERY good to know, thank you.
Unfortunately, the vendor is being a pain in the ass, too, so god knows if I'll get any kind of refund out of anyone. Grrrr.

Date: 2009-01-12 02:01 pm (UTC)This is the first time, I think (Chloe excepted) that Jack has worked in the field with a woman who is not evil (as far as we know) or was unwittingly dragged into it. And I count Audrey among the latter group, and they didn't really work together at CTU, anyhow.
