comic con: 24 panel

dianora2Here are my pictures and videos from the 24 panel if anyone is interested.
This panel was pretty much what you would have expected: Kiefer and Howard Gordon did most of the talking, Katee got insane applause, and, I realized in a moment of bemused horror, Freddie Prinze Jr. got a ton of applause from Whedonites because he fucks Sarah Michelle Gellar. At one point Freddie was telling a story and he just casually said "my wife" and the crowd went wild. "Oh yeah, I forgot, she's popular here," he said. LOL.
Kiefer was as always the very picture of graciousness. Whatever shenanigans he gets up to in his private life, I have seen him in person three times now, and have never seen him be anything but generous and grateful and effusive with fans.
My favorite moment was probably when a female questioner called Howard Gordon on the writing staff not having any women. Howard gave a pretty weasely answer, too, which culminated in him saying, "I mean, no one complains that the Rolling Stones don't have any women in the band." LOL WHUT YOU DID NOT JUST STAY THAT. What a jackass.
For my fellow 24 fans, my favorite comment was Kiefer saying that after Jack having been broken down so far and so low, that this past season was about giving him a reason to live again. And he said that his relationships with Kim and Renee were a big part of that. (FANGIRL FLAIL!!)
He mentioned that one of the best parts of the past season was having a female FBI agent who was his "equal" in the form of Renee, and I gave a big whoop, which prompted a few other people to whoop too. Kiefer said "Thank you for that. To whoever whooped, I'm going to tell
Annie you did that." HEE KIEFER SORT OF TALKED TO ME LOL.
MaryLynn was very funny, but that's to be expected. Her default expression is a puss, though, so she looks cranky in all the photos, LOL. She looked gorgeous though. I took a lot of pictures of her and Katee sitting next to each other because they just looked so pretty!
Katee was of course asked questions about going from BSG to 24, etc. The most interesting thing is that she's basically playing Chloe's boss, ha ha ha ha. They showed a clip of the two of them interacting and it was pretty great. Oh, and the new CTU set looks AMAZING. Very impressive.
