Thought I would check in, though I don't have anything particularly scintillating to say. ;)
Random stuff I've been up to:
Moved offices at work. Just to another part of the floor. It's a trade-off in various ways but at least it's a bit bigger and nicer, so overall I'm pleased.
Had dinner with
trjeannette and
nicole_anell the other night. I mention this mainly to share Jeannette's awesome line when the subject of Joss Whedon came up: "I like Joss, but some people think he shits ice cream. He doesn't shit ice cream. He shits Dollhouse." Heeeeeeeeee.
Went to see "Wishful Drinking" on Broadway last night. Yes, I had seen it before, but that was in DC and I wanted to see the Broadway version, okay? *g* Still loved it the second time around and sat there with a huge grin on my face the entire time. I love Carrie Fisher so much.
Playing a lot of Bejeweled Blitz. Ugh, I hate how addicted I am to that game.
Went to San Jose, CA on business and had a good time, especially since I got to spend some time with
snacktime on top of that. And I've been invited to a conference in San Francisco next February so am excited about that. Free trip to San Francisco, woo hoo!
Am enjoying Jonathan Jackson on General Hospital even though the show still sucks. And I think James Franco shows up this week.
What I haven't been doing, but should, is preparing more for my trip to London in two weeks. I'm spending two days at the Cylon Attack convention in Heathrow and the other two days in London proper, so need to figure out how I want to spend my London time. I've been there once before so it's partly a matter of seeing things I didn't get to last time, like the Victoria & Albert Museum, although I also want to spend time just walking around soaking everything in. Hmmm.
intopolitics and
nicole_anell are also going, so it should be fun, plus I will get to meet
airings and
eugis at the con and in a random coincidence
aj will be in London at the same time, so hopefully we can meet up. Can't wait to go, even if it's just a short trip (I'm using frequent flyer miles and just wanted to do a quick, cheap jaunt). I can't believe it's coming up so soon.
OK, that was more of a ramble than I intended. Ummm....so was that Gossip Girl threesome the biggest letdown ever or what? Yawn! And how awesome was Tim Gunn on last week's Project Runway? When he did the little dance with Heidi? And later was wearing an apron? Heeeee. I hope there won't be too much of a lag between seasons, since I know the next one is either filming or already in the can. I need my Tim! Am also hoping Irina wins. I don't care if she's "the bitch," I think her clothes are awesome and she's not a bitch, just a truth-teller, so there. ;) As for TAR, gooooooooo Globetrotters! Love them. But still the happiest hour of my week is Glee.
Finally, Happy Birthday
sharinlilbit!

Date: 2009-11-16 04:48 am (UTC)The next season of Runway is all finished filming (except for Fashion Week, obviously). I hope it starts airing soon, this season has been a bit of a letdown, and I'm excited for it to be back in NY, and with Kors and Nina on every episode.

Date: 2009-11-16 03:24 pm (UTC)And that's good news about Runway. So many of the crap eliminations this season can be attributed to the lack of Michael and/or Nina.

Date: 2009-11-16 05:09 am (UTC)I keep not watching GH on the tv...The combo of the weird Liz/Nik stuff added to Jammer, the worst undercover cop over...+ Sonny as always. I do plan on checking out JF next week. I swear, he must owe Steve Burton MonaVie money or something.

Date: 2009-11-16 12:54 pm (UTC)I hope Irina wins, too. I think the vilification was pretty unfair, especially since Althea accused Logan of copying her in the same episode in front of a national television audience and is now all buddy-buddy with him. Honestly, I think that someone has to be the villain every season, and there just wasn't anyone else who was even close, so Irina got that edit. She got a better edit in the last episode, which I hope means she might win. The one thing that concerns me is that her muse model isn't in her final look dress (http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/41059295.html), which is unusual, and means it won't go before the judges. Maybe it wasn't completely finished. I don't know.
I didn't know they were going to be back in New York next season! That's cool. Although it does destroy my dream of LC guest-starring on the LA version. :(
Had dinner with
Heh. I heart Jeannette. And am super excited to see all three of you in like a month!

Date: 2009-11-16 03:14 pm (UTC)Oh my gosh, I almost forgot about his little shadow dance! But yes, my favorite episode every season is always the one where Tim Gunn goes visiting, and he's awesome everywhere, and everyone's so happy to see him. Tim Gunn is magical, yo. Did you see his face when he was riding that scary ghetto elevator to Althea's??
