Day 20 is favorite kiss.

Well, that's just cruel, to ask a shipper whore like myself to choose. I was chewing this over for a while, when finally the answer, for me, hit me from out of the blue:

Moonlighting, "Witness for the Execution."

In this episode David thinks he has committed a murder (he hasn't, of course) and needs go "underground." He and Maddie say goodbye, and TV history is made. Sigh. This kiss is INTENSE. And all the more so for being completely unexpected. Shrieks must have gone up across America. It sent junior high me into QUITE the tizzy. Hee.

(Runner-up: Josh and Donna's first kiss, The West Wing. Although, you know what else was a really good kiss? Tony and Angela's first kiss on Who's the Boss. In the kitchen with the flour. Hee.)

Egads, I have memories of this like it was yesterday. I was watching the show with four friends of mine, and I think we all screamed so loud that half of Columbus must have heard us!

Oh gosh, I love that one! It capitalized on one of my "things" -- one person has go to on the run or is in danger and has to hide and the other person is left without them. *sob*

Oh, this was my first runner-up. "I'll call, I'll write." It was really so good. And Bruce Willis had hair!

Take Care

Bruce Willis is still a hottie at 50 and bald, but GOOD LORD was he attractive when he was young. YUMMEH.

Nice pick. And I love your runners up as well! :D

It's just one of those seminal TV kisses, I think.

Oh my gosh, I had forgotten all about the banter! His scruffiness! Her goddamn perfect big jewelry and bags.

I never really watched Moonlighting, so clearly I have some catching up to do. This is a great scene. It also demonstrates one thing really clearly: Bruce Willis was a much better actor than Cybill Shepherd. And he's still one of my favorite actors.

I loved Who's the Boss? when I was a kid. I remember watching it regularly. I just went and found the first kiss on YouTube, then watched the whole episode. "You'd remember." Awesome.

Aaaaaah! You must correct that post-haste! You can skip the last season though. *g* It really still holds up in terms of the writing and the acting and the chemistry. Good stuff.

And Tony/Angela was totally one of my favorite ships at that time. So adorable.

I am ashamed to say that I'd forgotten this, despite being an avid fan back in the day!

Lookit Maddie's big shoulders and even bigger hair! And David's scruff and that killer smirk!

I think I'm going to have to hunt down some DVDs,

YES. Also, I miss the days when they actually took the time to do a five minute scene to build up to the payoff.

You know, when I was rewatching the scene it struck me how SLOW the pace was, compared to TV now. It was kind of refreshing.
