sunday night television explosion
Jan. 22nd, 2007 12:26 amYeah, so not a fan of this. Watched Desperate Housewives while TiVoing Dresden Files, watched Battlestar Galactica, then watched Dresden Files on TiVo. And now it's almost midnight. Meh. In future weeks I think I will hold on to Dresden until Tuesday nights, which are a little less hectic for me. But I didn't want to be left out of seeing the premiere the same time as everybody else.
( Dresden thoughts. )
BSG made me happy. ( So many gifts, just for me. )
Earlier today I watched a Biography Channel special on Ewan, and the voiceover guy referred to Edinburgh as "Edinburg." WTF? How do you get to be a professional voiceover person and not know how to pronounce that? He also pronounced the "moulin" in "Moulin Rouge" incorrectly, and pronounced Ewan's wife's name incorrectly as well. Good grief. Apparently the Biography Channel will pay anybody. Where do I sign up?
Just two quick links to share tonight:

pennilesspoet17, Louis CK wants to have sex with Ewan McGregor. Very funny if you're a Ewan fan. Also, very not safe for work.
NYT article talking some more about how 51% of women are single now -- mostly talks about how there's been a shift where now educated women are more likely to get married than uneducated women. Apparently we've finally reached a point where men like smart women. I suppose that's something. It's really more about how like attracts like, which makes sense, and it points out how most of the 51% refers to older women who are divorced or widowed, etc. Anyway, if you've been following this issue, it's some interesting reading. Although the first sentence sucks. Just try to get past it.
Think I'm going to have to try going back to the eye doctor tomorrow. My eye has now hurt for all of 2007. It feels better than it did when I first went to see him two weeks ago, but it's not better better. Dammit. So aggravating. Wish me luck.
