I am so cranky, my friends. I am so cranky that the amount of crankiness I am experiencing cannot be quantified by human definitions. Anyone who doesn't believe in PMS seriously needs to shut the fuck up. As do a lot of other people, but if I got into that, I'd be here all day. Did I mention that I'm cranky?
Thankfully, I thought Gilmore Girls tonight was soooooo good. And I was pleased to see that Gina Fattore has signed on as an exec producer. And
em_meredith may be the only person reading this who understands why, but that's okay. The dialogue was excellent. Some of the funny parts were SO funny I had trouble stopping my laughter. I don't know why I found that Sookie/Michel arm wrestling so funny, but I really did. And the racquetball, OMG. Hilarity. Everyone sounded like themselves, and even the townies were used wisely. The Luke/Lorelai ending broke my heart, but kind of in a good way. I know they will get back together eventually and at least what they did tonight felt real and hurtful and true instead of a lot of the bullshit last season. I'm along for the ride and willing to see where this goes. Good job, Mr. Rosenthal! Keep it up.
Also finally watched Flavor of Love but don't know how much point there is in talking about it with
intopolitics on hiatus. *sniffle* Suffice to say New York sex sounds is the last thing I ever needed to hear in my life.
Who watched GH today? Can we talk about how adorable Dillon was with the haircut and glasses? Scratch that, can we talk about how HOT he was with the haircut and glasses? I've met Scott Clifton, by the way, wanna see?
Anyhoo, next question: how hot was Lulu's college counselor? I hope he sticks around for a little while. But where are Robin and Patrick? I am going through Scrubs withdrawal.
croberson alerts me to the fact that the creator of Heroes admits he never read comic books, and never read much of anything, for that matter. Charming. So much for the show having true geek cred, eh? It killed in the ratings, though.
I am not happy about the Studio 60 ratings but I am trying not to dwell on it because I am stressed out enough as it is. I am also doing my best not to become too emotionally attached, which is not too difficult when you're as emotionally stunted as I am. Nonetheless, I've already made a new icon, one which feels depressingly appropriate.
