When someone unassuming, with no weapons training, who's spent her life in a lab coat, is forced to find a strength she never knew she had and take a stand against invaders, even though a gun feels strange and wrong in her hands.

I'm just sayin'.

I agree. I haven't watched last night's yet. But I agree.

This.

Aside from the totally sloppy writing of not really giving us any reason to dread the Visitors yet - I really don't see how Erica (or even Father Jack for that matter) are supposed to be either relatable *or* rootable.

Hell, at this point Erica's not even *likeable* in my book. She needs to watch that sour expression she's got going...it's going to freeze that way if she's not careful.

I didn't even realize until last night that the character's name was Erica. Probably not a good sign.

But didn't you find the moment where Erica Evans figures out THE VEEEES are spying on us with jackets equally as riveting? No?

Yeah, I'm kind of missing the old V. With BSG I started out not wanting to like it out of nostalgia and ended up loving it more and more with each episode. Which is partly why I started watching V with high expectations. But I'm already bored just two episodes in. OMG, they're spying on us with thier jackets!!!! Big woop.

What's also awesome is how this scene recreated the shot from the opening scene of the mini, when Donovan was filming the guerrilla fighter shooting at the helicopter. I just rewatched the whole original mini this past week, and was amazed at the depth behind all their choices, especially when compared to the remake.

YES. Gah, love that.

The original miniseries really does hold up so long as you ignore the 80s fashion and bad special effects. ;)

I wonder if the old V is on Netflix instant. I think I won't worry about the new V.
