Had a really nice weekend, in spite of losing an hour of it. Friday night was bowling with [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63, [livejournal.com profile] divanoir and [livejournal.com profile] counteragent, and we had much fun mostly making fools of ourselves and getting the occasional lucky strike or spare. Saturday was brunch with [livejournal.com profile] girlunravelled, followed by some shopping in the hood, where I actually bought a dress at a boutique. Take it from me that this is shocking behavior for me. But it was really cute, and it fit me, and it was cheap for a boutique dress (cheaper even than an Ann Taylor Loft dress, really), so I took the plunge and did it. An incredulous [livejournal.com profile] oeilade was badgering me for pictures, so here you go. ExpandBehind the cut. )

Then Saturday night [livejournal.com profile] bexatious came over and we ordered in and watched Bradley on Monk, finally, and a CNN: Planet in Peril special I'd recorded back in December. Let me tell you that we are well and truly screwed, and people suck. And there would be less endangered species if people in China didn't eat so much weird shit. ;) See, now you don't have to watch, I've summed it up for you. It's very upsetting, lots of dead elephants and dead sharks and dead gorillas. We are destroying this planet. Ugh. Also: PLEASE DON'T BUY IVORY. Ktxhbi.

Today I did some work, hung up some pictures, took a nap. Very exciting. Wish I had gotten some fannish stuff done, but what are you gonna do. I suppose it would be wrong to take a day off to write drabbles and make icons?

But, [livejournal.com profile] airings someone over at ONTD wins at life for making this before I had to plead with the internets for someone to do so:
Photobucket
I could look at that all day. And probably will.

[livejournal.com profile] canadiangirl_86 did a wonderful picspam of the last BSG ep for Lee/Kara shippers, here at [livejournal.com profile] sasa_hq. I've been enjoying so much of the commentary for this episode; the commentaries have been cheering and reassuring in a way that Lee fans need right about now. The more I think about that scene now the more pleased I am with it. So thank you, awesome LJ peeps. :D If anyone wants to come in and talk about it some more, please do. I feel like I haven't had enough time to discuss the way I would have liked.

And I thought both TAR and Desperate Houswives were extremely enjoyable tonight, so yay. I was even pleased with the Rock of Love elimination. Good job, TV. Please to be keeping it up tomorrow night for 24.

I think I missed [livejournal.com profile] domfangirl's birthday, in which case: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)
Tonight on Chuck (which was fabulous btw), they played a song which was a swing-sounding version of "Walk Like an Egyptian." So awesome. [livejournal.com profile] kopernik, I am counting on you to track this down for me, as it seems right up your alley. Just sayin'.

I watched about 20 minutes of Castle and had to turn it off. Wow, that was terrible.

So TV Guide is going to have two BSG covers, and Jamie is not on either because he is in the UK, woe, but it is made up for by the fact that James looks really fucking hot. DAMN. I will be buying that cover, thank you. Katee and Tricia look pretty good, too. ;)

The Viewmaster is being discontinued. WOE.

The Story of a Foreclosure Cat. Victims of the housing crisis include household pets who are left behind after a family is forced to move. Makes me sick.

But pink dolphins are cute!

Morena Baccarin is getting the Jane Badler role in V. I would feel better about this if Morena Baccarin could act. *ducks angry Firefly fans*

Database of cosmetics safety. Interesting. I will be checking that out.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, iTunes just emailed me to say that my pre-order for Kelly's album is now available! *off to download and put on my iPod for tomorrow*

ETA: OMG more Carrie Fisher love: I was in San Francisco partly to go to this Comicon thing—–maybe it was called Wondercom, but I doubt it. LOLZ.
OK, realized I need to post this stuff in chunks or it will NEVER GET POSTED. So here are pictures and video of Aaron Douglas and friends at the Emissary panel, and pictures of Eve Myles at the Torchwood panel.

This will be light on text, I think, mainly just pictures and videos, since I don't remember much at this point anyway. :P

Friday evening was the panel for "Emissary," a series which does not actually exist yet, created by and starring Philip Morris, aka Jackie Chiles from Seinfeld and That Guy from a bunch of other stuff. I went because also starring in the series will be Aaron Douglas. The other panelists were Brian Thompson, the Mighty Morphin Bounty Hunter from XF, Thaao Penglis from daytime fame, and Yuri Lowenthal, who's apparently been in some stuff.

Saturday was the Torchwood panel with Eve Myles. ExpandPics and such. )

I'll get the Dollhouse and Fringe stuff up later in the week.
